Delta Savas
Delta Savas is a graphic design and user experience design specialist with over 10 years of experience serving the world’s top brands. She specializes in turning ideas into tangible products. In her role as EDI’s Director of Research & Development, she is responsible for developing and deploying new online and mobile technologies. She is also responsible for data analytics, communications strategy and building brand awareness not just for EDI but for the Company’s powerful education transformation message.
She has deep interest in design inspired by nature and merging design with biology and geology. In 2019 she was chosen to serve as a Judge for the Biomimicry Institute’s: Biomimicry Global Design Challenge where designers and scientists collaborate to solve pressing world issues. She strongly believes in utilizing biologically proven blueprints in design processes.
For the past seven years she has been a Senior Graphic Designer at McKinsey, the number one management consulting firm in the world, where she worked with consultants directly serving CEOs of Fortune 100 companies to help them visualize and turn their data analytics into concrete plans of action. Delta was a finalist UX Designer in McKinsey’s worldwide New Ventures Competition which is the firm’s biggest push to foster innovation and new ideas. At McKinsey, Delta also served on the firm’s Americas Regional Technology Council (ARTC) with a select group of people working on technology and design initiatives related to apps and web design.
Prior to McKinsey, Delta worked at Fielding Nair International, a school construction and architecture firm, helping to lead user research sessions to design new kinds of learning spaces in futuristic schools. During this time Delta also founded a local community music lessons school (which has now been in business for 10 years) where children learn music by playing with others. She is a specialist in user experience design, biomimicry, app design and design for learning.
