MUGDHA THAKURDESAI
Mugdha works as a Team Lead, managing a team of several architects and interior designers and based at Bangalore studio. Prior to joining EDA, she worked as a green building consultant for a reputed firm conducting audits, feasibility studies and implementation of cost efficient green building strategies. She started her design career in California, USA with an architectural practice that specializes in sustainable architecture, where she got exposed to the green building industry, developed a deep understanding & liking for it. In the recent past, she has developed a passion for educational environments after closely following best practices in education & design. Continued research into pedagogy, learning outcomes and educational efficiency has sparked her to design creative 21st century learning communities for many private educational facilities in Asia.
Mugdha has a Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver, USA and a Bachelors in Architecture from University of Pune, India. She has worked on several LEED certified buildings and is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP). She has successfully delivered prestigious nationally and internationally acclaimed projects including the American School of Bombay in Mumbai, Oakridge International School in Bangalore, Deutsche Schule Bombay in Mumbai also popularly known as DSB International German School, Al-Batinah International School in Oman, Safa Community School in Dubai amongst several others. Her ability to synchronize with client community and their needs has given her the edge to be able to custom design innovative solutions that best suits innovative teaching & learning practices.
